From Pepto-Pink, to Classic Cool

December 13, 2009
Classic 1950's TileTo say that Platinum Home Staging, Inc.  does “home staging” is self explanatory, but our Design Team can also assist in remodels and upgrades, finishes, space planning as well as Interior Decor.  This is the home of a young couple who were first time home buyers and bought a classic 1950’s bungalow in Westwood, CA.  It was SO classic that it had 40 year old shag carpeting and even the original pepto-pink “master” bath tile with raspberry trim.

Functionality was lacking with a tiny 4 1/2′ foot long tub, barely a 3′ x 3′ shower unit, 1 sink and 1 tiny mirror and although the tile was still in pretty good condition, the pink was just too overwhelming for this young couple to wrap their minds around.

Platinum Home Staging, Inc. assisted these new Home Owners redesign the small space for better flow, a larger claw foot tub, enlarged the shower with a seemless glass enclosure and rain shower head. (shower not pictured)

Keeping the classic feeling was key while bringing the Master Bathroom into the Twenty-First Century. Cool Grey walls with a tint of  blue undertones keeps the feeling serene. Crisp white cabinetry takes the back seat to the amazing Carrera marble vanity and polished chrome hardware and fixtures. A classic white tile flooring with black granite insets and in the shower (not pictured) the basket weave shower floor was in Carrera marble and floor to ceiling white subway tiles.
