If Your Home or Listing has been on the Market for “Too Long”, It’s Time to Mix Things Up a Bit!

January 6, 2010

On Market for 2 YEARS!!!

On Market for 2 YEARS!!!

Here’s something to consider:

if your home has been on the market for more than three months, even in this economy, it’s considered “ripe fruit“. You know what we mean: the over-ripe banana that is still “good” but is starting to turn black and beginning to smell a little funky.  There’s nothing wrong with it, but you’ve been looking at for weeks and haven’t considered taking a bite.  Now that it’s turning colors, you consider making banana bread… but you don’t and move on.  The same goes for your house or listing. On the MLS it’s “old“, other Realtors have already seen it and marked it off of their “Great new listing that just came onto the market!”  list.  Buyers have seen its pictures already on the internet, and for whatever reason, have crossed it off of their “must-see” list as well.

After Staging Received Multiple Offers!

It’s time to mix things up a bit!  If the home is  Occupied, call on the services of a Professional Home Stager  for a Consultation which can start as low as $55.00 or have them provide an estimate to have them perform a complete home Re-Design. If the home has been vacant while on the market, it needs to be STAGED by a Professional and Experienced Home Stager.  Next; update all of the marketing materials, website advertisements and MLS with NEW pictures after the work and Staging has been completed.  By going that extra mile, and actually making Banana Bread out of your ripe fruit, you’ll immediately get gratification from the response and renewed interest your home or listing will receive.

Your before and after pics say it all! That bedroom photo looks so cozy, it just makes you want to move right in, fill the fridge, keep the staged furnishings and settle in!
    Great job!
